In July 2025, Steam introduced a new policy that impacts all third-party trading platforms.
Any Rust or CS2 item that is traded now includes a 7-day protection window—during which users can reverse the trade.
What does this mean for me?
With this new system in place, users could potentially:
Deposit an item, play with the balance, withdraw, and then revert the original deposit to receive free credit.
Or simply revert their deposit after losing.
Our solution
To protect Scraps and its users, we’ve implemented a frustrating but necessary policy:
All Rust and CS2 deposits will be held for 7 days.
You will receive your balance only after the Steam trade protection period has expired. This ensures fairness and prevents abuse.
